Martis Search is representing a global Bank, to hire a permanent “Funds of Funds Operations Clerk”.
This is an entry-level “School Leaver”/ “GCSE”, or “A Level leaver”/ or “2:2 graduate” role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has either finished school, not decided to go university, but is looking for an opportunity to get your first proper job in The City, into the world of Financial Services. Our client will also consider a graduate with a 2:2 who wants a career in Operations.
The company is based in The City of London and the bank has global locations. The position sits within a sub-division within one of their Funds of Funds Operations teams and is a specific role that relates to Operations support for their Fund of Funds business.
The role is also hybrid (within a 4-week period, 8 days employees are allowed to work from home, so you will be able to work-from, as well as in the office). The company offers great overtime rates and also a pension. It is a friendly bank to work for and a safe a secure environment.
JOB PURPOSE
To undertake processing and administrative duties within the Funds of Funds Processing team, specifically the preparation/submission of client trade orders into underlying funds and the monitoring/oversight throughout their lifecycle to ensure accurate and timely completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure all client subscription and redemption orders are processed within stipulated deadlines, ensuring fund documentation is completed in accordance with the client instruction.
To ensure accurate record keeping of trade related data across all internal systems. Understanding the downstream impact of inaccuracies and the potential damage to the Bank reputationally and monetarily.
To respond to client/administrator enquiries daily and monitor progress.
To investigate and resolve promptly any associated cash and asset reconciliation breaks in line with the CASS rules.
To immediately report operational errors to the Fund of Funds Manager and Head of Department and assist with the agreed tasks to remediate the issue/prevent a recurrence.
To administer fund documentation (file management of prepared documents).
To identify areas where efficiencies within the team can be improved upon and suggest relevant changes to operational procedures.
To carry out such other duties as requested by the team Manager of Head of Department.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
GCSEs including Maths and English.
First class professional approach i.e. the successful candidate must pay high attention to detail, be well organised, self-motivated and eager to learn. The candidate must also be a strong team player and always prepared to assist colleagues.
Good technology literacy, including experience of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
Salary
Up-to £27,000 plus overtime, plus discretionary bonus, pension, healthcare and a range of other benefits
