Martis Search is representing a global Bank, to hire a temporary “Cash Management” Clerk. The role is a 6-month temporary maternity-cover role, with the possibly to be extended, or to go permanent.

This is an entry-level “School Leaver”/ “GCSE”, or “A Level leaver”/ or “2:2 graduate” role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has either finished school, not decided to go university, but is looking for an opportunity to get your first proper job in The City, into the world of Financial Services. Our client will also consider a graduate with a 2:2 who wants a career in Operations.

The company is based in The City of London and the bank has global locations. The position sits within a sub-division within one of their Cash Management Operations teams and is a specific role that relates to Operations support for their business.

The role is also hybrid (within a 4-week period, 8 days employees are allowed to work from home, so you will be able to work-from, as well as in the office). The company offers great overtime rates and also a pension. It is a friendly bank to work for and a safe a secure environment.

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure all clients’ cash instructions are processed in an accurate and timely manner in line with sub-custodian and reporting deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure all client instructions (cash and FX) are processed within the company’s systems in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with sub-custodian deadlines.

To ensure client portfolios are updated promptly and accurately to dispatch reports/SWIFT advice within the specified deadline, and to review various cash reconciliation reports daily.

To assist with the prompt investigation and resolution of specific inquiries relating to cash management to ensure overall client satisfaction.

To identify areas where efficiencies within the Cash Management team can be improved upon and assist in the testing/implementation of relevant changes to systems/procedures to mitigate operation risk.

To report operational errors to Transaction Processing’s Senior Officer, Assistant Manager, and/or Head of Department within 24 hours of the error being identified.

To carry out such other duties as requested by Transaction Processing’s Senior Officer, Assistant Manager, and/or Head of Department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

GCSEs including Maths and English.

A good understanding of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.

First class professional approach i.e. the successful candidate must pay high attention to detail, be well organised, self-motivated and eager to learn. The candidate must also be a strong team player and always prepared to assist colleagues.

Salary

Up-to £14.56 per hour as a flat-rate including holiday pay, plus overtime.
