Structured Finance Analyst, Structured Finance Department (Project Finance) – City of London based, global Foreign Bank
Martis Search are representing a City of London based International Foreign Bank to hire a permanent “Structured Finance Analyst.”
Experience in analysis or monitoring of European/UK social infrastructure, Renewables, digital infrastructure within Front Office/Credit Risk would be ideal.
The role is a mix of hybrid “working-from-home” and in the office, but for the initial 1-month of the contract, you will be required to be in the office x 5-days per week to receive full training and onboarding etc.
Our client is looking for someone to have at least 2 – 3 years’ experience of Project finance transactions, as a member of front office team, or a credit reviewer in the credit risk management area.
Principle Purpose of the Job:
There are two main purposes: 1) Monitor existing project finance transactions which have construction or financial difficulties
2) Conduct the entire due diligence(credit analysis) process but not partially on any new project finance transactions in any existing or new sectors.
Principle Elements of the Job:
To conduct the entire due diligence (credit analysis) on new project finance transactions in any sectors and to make investment proposals independently for Branch’s credit committee as well as credit committees in head office consultant with both reviewer in London branch and credit officer in head office.
To manage documentation process of project finance transactions with Branch’s legal team
To monitor existing project finance transactions that the Branch has invested in especially if any projects have some construction, operation, and financial difficulties and make appropriate conversation with not only credit department and other internal risk related departments but also external auditors and financial regulators.
To put internal credit ratings on project finance transactions regularly and ad-hoc basis (if credit event occurs).
To attend lender meetings for monitoring purpose if needed.
Action (internal authorisation process) to get an approval by Branch’s management if necessary) when a borrower issues a consent request for lenders.
To conduct research on various topics and produce reports such as new sectors or new countries, regulatory framework in Europe related with the Branch credit portfolio as and when required on ad-hoc basis.
To understand the Bank’s credit risk management framework, especially the Bank’s Internal Rating System.
To attend meetings with relevant stakeholders such as borrowers, sponsors, and FAs for deal sourcing as well as monitoring.
To assist a middle-back team in Structured Finance Department, such as KYC when closing the transactions, funding request to the Branch’s treasury, and drawdown over the course of loan life.
To assist the senior manager with internal Branch reporting when required.
To update the Policy & Procedures of Structured Finance Department as and when needed. Conduct regular/occasional internal self-check.
Provide general administrative support to the Senior Management
Salary
Between £60 k pa – £70 k pa dependent upon experience, plus an annual discretionary bonus, pension, healthcare etc.
