Junior Accountant – Global Physical Metals company: Urgent Temp-to-Perm – Growth company & amazing opportunity (1-4 years Accounting experience)
Martis Search is representing , London based global “Physical Metals Trading” company to hire a permanent “Junior Accountant.”
Our client is looking for an Accountant who is either a “Newly-Qualified”, or “Part-Qualified” ACCA, or CIMA Accountant with between x 1-4 years Finance & Accounting experience (ideally Financial Services) who wants to join a very busy Finance department supporting global Physical Metal Traders and to simply learn the job (with hands on training from their Financial Controller).
This is an urgent requirement and our client wants someone ideally on a short notice period (no 3-month notice periods, sorry) and after a period of a few months will likely switch to a permanent role (once you have learnt the role and proven yourself).
This role reports into their “Financial Controller” and you would be under their mentorship. In-our-opinion, they are great, highly personable, fair and willing to pass on their years of Finance & Accounting knowledge onto whoever gets the role.
Our client is a very busy “Physical Metals” Trading company based in London, but does have a global presence too. For this role, from the client’s perspective it is all about the “right attitude.”
Our client is looking for someone who is:
- Willing to learn.
- Willing to work hard.
- Able to cope and thrive within a broad Finance & Accounting Operations role (busy global Trading organisation).
- Able to take direction, but still work independently (because the Financial Controller does not have enough time to micro manage every day).
- Someone who is super-reliable, punctual, putting in a shift everyday and who is full of enthusiasm.
- A good communicator with exemplary communication skills, face-to-face, email, on the phone, or on video meetings to all levels of the business in London and also to global offices.
- Accurate and has a strong attention to detail.
This is an “Accounting Operations” role/ “Management Accounting” and requires you to “roll-up-your-sleeves” every day. There is also a lot of project work to complete in time, as the processes are fairly manual, but this takes time.
The role will initially be x 4 days per week in their London office.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the month end closing process for each entity, production of the monthly management accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, Bank Reconciliations, monthly balance sheet substantiation and review, monthly and quarterly performance reporting and analyses within their Metals Business.
In addition to operating within their core Finance function, there will also be significant exposure to the wider Finance and business departments, including the Trading, Product Control and Shipping within the company.
If you have the relevant experience, please apply now and move quickly on this excellent opportunity.
