Martis Search is representing an “Ultra-High-Net-Worth-Individual (UHNWI) who is urgently seeking a permanent “Interior & Art Collector Curator.”
This unique and super-interesting role is a permanent vacancy and the chosen person will be responsible for the curation, management and execution of interiors and art collections across the property portfolio.
In simple terms, you will be working all interior design for the UHNWI across their London and global properties, as well as a curator and manager of their entire Art collection.
Are you of a graduate calibre and do you have a background in Interior Design and/ or Art Curation and motivated to work in this type of environment? Our client is looking for someone who has Project Management or EA/PA experience within collections, interiors, design, property, or worked at a Family office, with a strong interest in art and interiors.
This position is based primarily at the UHNWI’s residence in Mayfair, London, with some international travel required.
This role is responsible for the curation, management and execution of interiors and art collections across the property portfolio. It combines hands on coordination with curatorial oversight, supporting the ongoing development of the collection alongside day-to-day support for the UHNWI. This role requires a strong working knowledge of high-quality residential interiors, including materials, finishes and detailing.
The position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and requires a high degree of discretion, adaptability, initiative and strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
This role will work closely with the Registrar, Property and Household teams, as well as providing direct support to the UHNWI.
Specific Roles and responsibilities
Interiors and Property
Coordinate the design development and execution of interiors across global residential projects, with a focus on high-quality finishes and detailing
Work closely with designers, architects and contractors to review and implement interior schemes
Support selection and specification of materials and finishes (e.g. stone, marble, ironmongery, joinery)
Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
Principal & Executive Support
Provide direct support to UHNWI
Work closely alongside UHNWI’s EA to ensure seamless coordination
Operate with professionalism and composure in a high-pressure environment
Acquisitions and Sales
Support the Principals and the Branch in the acquisition and sale of artworks and interior pieces
Assist with auction processes (registering, bidding coordination, condition checks)
Maintain awareness of the art market to support decision making
Build and maintain relationships with auction houses, galleries and dealers
Collection management
Working in close partnership with the Registrar:
Assist with the movement, storage and installation of the collection across multiple geographical locations
Assist with maintenance accurate and up to date collection records and support database management
Assist with coordination valuations of the collection for financial planning and tax purposes
Assist with coordination with external specialists (e.g. restorers, upholsterers, framers) to ensure the care and presentation of the collection and interiors
Team and Operational Support
Provide cover for the EA and Registrar when required
Support household and property co-ordination
Support wider operational and administrative needs
Skills & Experience – Essential
Project Management or EA/PA experience within collections, interiors, design, property, or family office
Strong interest in art and interiors
Practical knowledge of high-end residential interiors, including materials and finishes
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
High level of discretion and emotional intelligence
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with the Principals
Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in an unstructured environment
Willingness to work flexibly outside standard hours when required
Willingness to travel
This is a hands on, multifaceted role suited to someone who is highly organised, proactive, resilient, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves in a fast moving private environment. The ideal candidate will combine practical execution with a strong eye for detail and a genuine interest in interiors and art.
Salary
Between £45 k pa – £55 k pa plus a small annual bonus, pension, healthcare
